Intelligent companion robots provide emotional support, health monitoring, and assistance with daily activities, significantly enhancing the quality of life and psychological well-being of the elderly. This paper aims to construct a conceptual model of the relationship between user perception, individual characteristics, and the intention to use intelligent companion robots, based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Technology Readiness Index (TRI) theory. Research hypotheses are proposed, and data is collected through online and offline questionnaires. Hypotheses are tested using structural equation modeling and PLS-SEM software to study the intention of the elderly to use companion robots. The study finds that: (1) Perceived value and technology readiness directly influence user intention. (2) Perceived value mediates the relationship between technology readiness and user intention. (3) TAM is one of the most explanatory models for understanding and predicting users’ acceptance behaviors and intentions regarding information technology, although necessary modifications and improvements are needed due to its scope of application.

摘要
