The fifteenth and sixteenth centuries saw the rise of capitalism in Europe and the glory of feudal society in Asia. Great changes occurred in the world order. On the one hand, capitalism posed a challenge to feudalism in Europe, where capitalists and feudal lords were locked in a fight for power. On the other hand, Europe started to engage in colonial expansion overseas, which brought about rapid changes in the world’s political and economic landscapes.
