The years from the end of World War II in 1945 up till today in the twenty-first century can be called the post-war period. The post-war world has experienced tremendous changes that have brought human civilization to a new stage of development. Exchange between different nations has become increasingly close, continuous progress and innovation have taken place in science and technology, and economic globalization has progressed. Thanks to the enormous progress it has made, humanity is facing a bright future. However, there still exist serious problems and grave challenges that call for the joint efforts from all peoples of the world. Faced with major changes unseen in a century as well as the various issues and challenges in today’s world, the Communist Party of China has undertaken the historic missions and responded by proposing a Chinese solution—building a global community of shared future.
