Challenges and Perspective Applications of Bio-based Resorbable Composites
摘要
In the realm of biomaterials, biocompatible polymers used in medicine belong to a diverse and extensive family. In order to fully comprehend the physics underlying these alluring materials, it is necessary to begin with broad terminology. “Any materials, whether synthetic or natural in origin, or a combination thereof, that can be used for any duration, either wholly or as part of a system, to treat, enhance, or replace any tissue, organ, or function of the body” is how in 1982, the term “biomaterial” was defined through NIH Consensus innovation seminar.
