The concerns related to waste management are alarming, especially in the first decade of the twentieth century. Modern technology and novel approaches are needed to safeguard the environment in current situations. This chapter delves into the possible approaches to designing microbial formulations for efficient exploitation of various types of waste materials. The ability of these microorganisms to be useful is based on their capacity to protect the environment against industrial wastes and apply their metabolic products in agricultural technology with a lower economic burden. The ongoing discovery of new strains possessing unique characteristics and functionalities is directly due to technological advancements and research methodologies. Through the use of yeast, fungal, and bacterial formulation, waste disposal cost can be feasible. The application of microbial formulation has made it possible to generate new metabolites, such as biofuels, that are used for multiple industrial applications in the energy field. Development of new uses for microbial cells may make their role more effective in energy production.
