Exploring the Impact of Software Engineering Concepts on Sustainable Engineering Education
摘要
The integration of software engineering concepts into sustainable engineering education has the potential to transform traditional learning environments, particularly within the context of Bangladeshi universities. As the demand for environmentally responsible and resource-efficient solutions increases, educational institutions must prepare future engineers with the skills necessary to tackle complex sustainability challenges. This study examines the effects of confidence in software engineering skills, tool usage, project management approaches, and coding practices on CGPA. A survey was conducted using five regression models to explore these relationships. Among the models analyzed, SVM demonstrated the highest predictive accuracy. The findings reveal a strong correlation between confidence in software engineering, consistent use of software tools, and active coding practice with elevated CGPAs. Additionally, knowledge of requirements gathering and project management techniques emerged as crucial factors for improving engineering education. This study highlights the importance of incorporating structured software engineering methods to improve sustainable engineering education.
