Literary geocriticism, also termed geocriticism for short, is a literary criticalism practice. Based on literary geographic theories and methods, it gives prominence to textual analysis while taking into consideration the geographic surroundings of the text’s creation and dissemination. In this chapter, we will discuss three major points concerning geocriticism. The first is its nature, the second is its founding principles, and the third is its basic steps.
