Reinforcement plays an integral role in an Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) structure. PSWC-bars have a plain surface with a wave-type configuration as compared to traditional reinforcement, which has straight axis configuration. This study includes an analytical study of PSWC-bar (Plain Surface with Wave-Type Configuration) with different pitches and offsets and plain round (PR) bars as reinforcement in beam-column junction. Study is carried out in finite element software: ABAQUS-CAE. Junction is designed as per Indian Standard codal provisions. Reinforcement is replaced by PR in the initial model as well as PSWC-bars in the consecutive models. Analysis on the moment-resisting capacity at the junction is carried out in ABAQUS-CAE. Enhancement is found in the moment-resisting capacity at the junction when reinforced with PSWC-bars as compared to the junction reinforced with PR-bar.
