A Survey on Circularly Polarized MIMO Antenna for 5G Communications
摘要
High-performance antenna designs are becoming more necessary as wireless communication advances quickly, especially with 5G. Due to its capacity to intrude on obstacles, improve spectral efficiency, and decrease polarization mismatch, circularly polarized (CP) MIMO antennas have become an essential solution. Substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW), defected ground structure (DGS), dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs), and meta surface-based approaches are among the CP MIMO antenna designs that are examined in this survey. To maximize antenna efficiency for 5G applications, important performance measures such as axial ratio bandwidth, diversity gain (DG), and envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) are discussed. For the next-generation wireless networks, the paper also covers isolation strategies and design trade-offs to guarantee small, high-gain, and wideband CP MIMO antennas.
