A Comparative Study of Robust Image Steganography Leveraging Canny Edges, Histogram Equalization, and Vector Quantization
摘要
Today, security is a vital part of our everyday life and the process of securing our privacy in this social world is a challenge. Image steganography is a critical process that helps in securely embedding information inside digital images. This paper begins by examining the efficiency of spatial domain algorithms and explores the combined use of edge detection, histogram, and quantization techniques. The comparative study of the combination of algorithms is presented evaluating the effectiveness in concealing data and robustness of the resultant stego image for secure data hiding. The comparison is based on the evaluation of metrics like PSNR, SSIM, and embedding capacity. Comprehensive comparisons enlighten in identifying the approach with the combination of Canny, histogram equalization, and vector quantization gives the most promising results in secure and reliable data hiding.
