Over the past few decades, nanotechnology has played an important role in the industrial sector because of the unique properties of nanomaterials, such as scalability, cost-effectiveness, high product quality and consistency, versatility, and environmental friendliness. The vapor-phase nanomaterial synthesis technique is mainly applied to produce high-quality nanomaterials to achieve the above benefits. For example, vapor-phase techniques like chemical vapor deposition (CVD), physical vapor deposition (PVD), and vapor–liquid-solid (VLS) methods provide versatile solutions for manufacturing various nanostructures to achieve the growing demand for nanomaterials. CVD facilitates reactions such as oxidation and decomposition to create high-purity thin films, while PVD provides sublimation and sputtering to deposit materials precisely onto substrates. The VLS method is specifically used for synthesizing nanowires. Furthermore, optimizing the structural, compositional, optical, and thermal properties is crucial for enhancing the performance of these nanomaterials. The characterization techniques allow researchers and industry professionals to fine-tune material qualities essential for advanced applications. Vapor-phase synthesized nanomaterials are largely used in electronics, energy, environmental remediation, and healthcare industries by driving innovation and meeting important social demands. As vapor-phase methods advance, they will continue shaping the future of nanotechnology, enabling the development of tailored nanomaterials for a wide range of industrial applications.

摘要
