Long COVID is a significant public health concern, presenting challenges for global healthcare systems. This chapter analyses diverse stakeholder perspectives—including patients, carers, academics, policymakers, and peak bodies—on the drivers and experiences of health equity for people with Long COVID. Based on a review of over 500 submissions to the Australian Federal Government Inquiry into Long COVID, the analysis applies the Health Equity Framework to examine systemic inequalities. It highlights how these factors exacerbate disadvantage, particularly after the emergence of the Omicron viral variant in 2021. Policy recommendations are presented to address the needs of marginalised communities, promoting a more inclusive approach to healthcare delivery and resource allocation.
