Modern power electronic technology has greatly enhanced the controllability and flexibility of power system, and has been widely used in power system generation, transmission, distribution, use, storage and other applications. With the development of power electronic technology, the proportion of power electronic devices in power system is increasing, and the power electronized power systems is the inevitable trend of the development of the power system. This chapter introduced the challenges for power electronized power systems, and the issues and methods of system stability analysis. Moreover, a new microgrid control mode with self-organized operation is introduced. Finally, this chapter concludes the organization of the book.
