Coworking as a phenomenon has been on the rise for the past decade, and continue to grow globally. This chapter focuses on the case of regional centers in Sweden and how coworking spaces have been found to facilitate establishments of large firms by offering workspace and a community for remote workers, also called affiliated workers. We have found that the practice of using coworking spaces for affiliated workers is quite wide spread and that it happens spontaneously within established firms due to acquiring or maintaining talent. The possible implications for policy development center around how regions might use these spaces to attract high-skilled workers and how that might in turn attract larger firms to establish a local node.
