Interplay Between Dynamic Load and Rough Inhomogeneous Almost Incompressible System: A Comparative Analysis
摘要
This work deals with the stress analysis of an inhomogeneous pre-stressed almost incompressible elastic half-space (IHPSAIEHS), which is under the effect of a dynamic load acting on the rough boundary surface. By means of applicable analytical techniques, closed form expressions of the developed normal stress and shear stress have been determined. Computational results have been traced out that lead toward the graphical delineation of the impacts of inhomogeneity, hydrostatic stress, frictional coefficient and depth of the half-space on the developed normal stress and shear stress. A comparative analysis between inhomogeneous and homogeneous cases of the considered half-space has also been effectuated. It is worthwhile noting that the presence of inhomogeneity substantially affects the developed stresses in the medium. Further, the obtained expressions of normal stress and shear stress as a particular case of the study, found to be in line with the results existing in the literature.
