Developing Mobile Robots Learning Activity to Promote Students’ Computational Thinking
摘要
In the era of rapid advancement of science and technology, the learning process should focus on content and activities consistent with the learner’s interests, abilities, and aptitudes. Computational thinking skills have become essential for developing the skills of all learners. Computational thinking is a foundation for solving problems requiring effective systematic analysis. Therefore, it is necessary to have learning methods that meet the needs of learners in this era. Although learning programming skills and using microcontrollers is essential today, this subject is still challenging for learners at all levels because it requires understanding logical thinking processes and applying complex knowledge. Many studies indicate that the lack of teaching media that support programming and real-world applications may cause learners to lack the necessary skills in programming and debugging. Therefore, the design of learning that emphasizes practice and using appropriate media is necessary. This research developed a mobile robot learning activity to promote students’ computational thinking using the Arduino platform to program robot control in various situations. In addition, the research results expected learners to understand computational thinking better, apply the knowledge they have gained to solve problems in daily life, and develop creative problem-solving skills effectively.
