ALA-PDT for the Treatment of Other Cutaneous Diseases
摘要
ALA-PDT, renowned for its efficacy in treating skin conditions such as cancer and acne, is now the focus of expanding research aimed at broadening its therapeutic applications to a wider range of dermatological disorders. This chapter discussed its emerging use in managing conditions such as leukoplakia, lichen sclerosus, chronic wounds, fungal infections, lichen planus, and certain genetic diseases. This study integrates findings from recent clinical trials, highlighting the potential mechanisms and therapeutic benefits of ALA-PDT in these contexts. Additionally, it critically examines the challenges and limitations associated with these new applications while exploring future research directions that could further expand the clinical utility of ALA-PDT, ultimately improving patient outcomes and advancing dermatological care.
