Implementing Ergonomics programs within manufacturing industries in Mexico can be difficult due to their complexity, lack of resources, and trained professionals in Ergonomics. Ciudad Juárez employs 316,831 workers and is the second city with the most manufacturing industries nationally. Workers’ opinions and participation in this industry can contribute to greater acceptance and improve Ergonomics implementation. However, few instruments have been developed to consider the workers’ perspective regarding the factors that lead to the successful implementation of Ergonomics programs. Therefore, this work proposes and validates an original questionnaire to collect data on the workers’ perspective applied in manufacturing industries in Mexico. Once a pilot test of the questionnaire was done, a convenience sample was used, with 180 surveys administered to the workers. The Varimax method and factorial exploratory and confirmatory analysis were chosen to propose new constructs, which are: Communication of ergonomic risks at work with four items, training and health promotion with six items, prevention of accidents at work with three items, and care and cleanliness of the workplace with three items, in addition to the dimension of the benefits obtained from the implementation of Ergonomics. The reliability results showed good model fit indices (GFI/ TLI/CFI/NFI > 0.78, RMSEA / SRMR < 0.05) and instrument reliability of 0.962 with 57 items. This study contributes with a validated instrument for determining the factors behind successful Ergonomics programs implementation in the industry.

摘要
