The research describes the benefits of adopting inclusive generative tools for co-design as a project guide to allow design research to identify unique and uncommon accessibility issues for designing interactive artefacts capable of expanding inclusion towards a group of diversified users. Specifically, the research challenge was to develop an inclusive, collaborative design methodology and versatile experimental prototypes capable of adapting themselves to the abilities of trans-generational users, characterised by heterogeneous levels of personal physical and cognitive ability to gather special needs to increase the inclusiveness of the expected technological solutions. The critical user experimentation with the prototypes pushed the research team to provoke reflections and reactions by stimulating physical, sensorial stimulation that allowed the prototypes not only to extend the degree of inclusion of the expected products towards specific categories of users but also to increase their overall quality by optimising its use and accessibility for able-bodied people. The result produced a holistic vision of the product, context, and people, simplifying the development of accessible solutions that are elastically compatible with a wide and heterogeneous variety of human problems and needs.
