Study of Impact of Employee Motivation on Productivity with Special Reference to the Banking Sector
摘要
This study examines the connection between employee motivation and productivity within the banking sector, emphasizing how various motivational factors—such as incentives, work-life balance, career advancement, and management practices—affect performance outcomes. As a service-driven industry, banking depends significantly on the commitment and effectiveness of its employees to achieve customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability. Employing a mixed-method approach, this research integrates survey data from bank employees with secondary sources to pinpoint essential motivational drivers and their influence on productivity metrics, including service quality, task efficiency, and error reduction. The findings indicate that intrinsic factors, such as recognition and opportunities for career growth, greatly enhance employee engagement, while extrinsic factors, like financial incentives, are directly linked to increased productivity levels. The study underscores the necessity of a comprehensive motivational strategy, suggesting that banks can boost performance and employee retention by cultivating a supportive and rewarding work environment.
