Medication adherence remains a significant challenge in healthcare delivery, especially in developing regions where limited resources, technological barriers, and infrastructure constraints impede effective medication management. This paper introduces a low-cost, Arduino-based medication dispensing system tailored for environments with unreliable internet access and limited technological literacy. The proposed system integrates affordable hardware components—including an LCD display, a keypad interface, and a servo motor—with robust software to deliver a dependable solution that operates without continuous internet connectivity or reliance on smartphones. Priced at just $30, compared to existing solutions costing $150 or more, the system achieves a dispensing accuracy of 98% while eliminating the need for complex technological infrastructure. The design prioritizes simplicity and accessibility, employing basic electronic components to provide visual and auditory medication reminders. This makes it particularly effective for elderly patients and individuals unfamiliar with modern technology. Implementation results from healthcare facilities show that the system successfully maintains medication schedules and enhances patient adherence in resource-constrained settings. 摘要
