Anthropogenic or induced hazards are natural or environmental disasters which are intensified by human activities. Human practices can have adverse effects on the environment and human populations through the occurrence of hazards. Induced hazards include water and air pollution, landslides, soil erosion, floods, induced seismicity, nuclear hazards, spills, and gas leakages, and industrial accidents. They can be divided into two categories: natural hazards that are intensified by human activity and lead to serious disasters, and disasters caused by human error.
