Wave Vector Compensation in the Confinement of Light
摘要
Wave vector compensation is the phenomenon where light is confined due to the compensation of dispersion of the light by Metamaterial chirped photonic crystal fiber. By this compensation phenomenon, light pulse can be trapped inside the photonic structure for ever. A key component of developing optical technology is the control and confinement of light inside photonic structures. With an emphasis on the combination of position-chirped Metamaterial photonic crystal arrays and the slow-light phenomena, this work investigates the idea of wave vector compensation in light confinement. We hope to shed light on the design of photonic devices with improved light confinement capabilities by examining the interactions between these strategies.
