摘要

This paper proposes an overall framework for integrating blockchain technology with IIoT systems, emphasizing improvements in data quality, reliability, security, and efficiency. The research addresses the challenges posed by increased interconnectivity in Industry 4.0 by leveraging the decentralized, immutable, and transparent functions of blockchain to mitigate risks. A case study within a smart manufacturing environment demonstrates the feasibility of the proposed framework, enhancing data integrity, operational transparency, and automated decision-making. The results indicate blockchain's potential to revolutionize the IoT ecosystem by providing security and efficiency in executing industrial operations. Further performance assessments validate the framework’s scalability and latency optimization, making it a transformative solution for Industry 4.0 applications. The expansion of the Internet of Things into the industrial environment introduces serious security risks. Blockchain technology’s decentralized, immutable, and transparent nature effectively addresses these challenges. Therefore, this paper proposes a holistic architecture for integrating blockchain into Industry 4.0, ensuring automation through smart contracts, enabling decentralized administration, and enhancing data integrity to resolve these issues.
