Conduction Cooling Test Results of HTS WLS Magnet
摘要
This section describes the conduction cooling test results of the HTS WLS magnet. We measured the voltage, temperature, and field of the magnet during the powering process. Comparing the simulation and the measurement, we validate our modeling methods. We observed a reduction in the main pole field mainly due to the screening current-induced field. We suggest a screening current analysis model considering the nonlinear B-H characteristics of iron core based on the 2D H-formulation. Based on the current simulation results, we introduce the segmentation method to calculate 3D field distributions to calculate change of beam property by the screening current-induced field.
