From that optic, the précis showcases the Heart of Borneo Initiative that was launched in 2007 as environmental peacebuildingEnvironmental peacebuilding in a grounded context from which much can—and should—be learned. The Heart of Borneo Initiative is a conscious effort to integrate social and environmental issues, cultivate cooperation rather than competition, and manage a resource or commons collaboratively.
