In light of escalating climate extremes, this précis outlines a proposed climate change adaptation strategy for Vietnam. The proposed strategy establishes guiding principles, lists priorities, addresses uncertainties, provides rough cost estimates for specific tasks and solutions, and explores financing options. By highlighting Vietnam’s climate vulnerability, the strategy would strengthen the country’s case for accessing the Loss and Damage Fund established at COP27.
