The Theoretical Framework of Housing Mix
摘要
In light of the literature on the relationships between housing mix and expected outcomes as well as the mediating role of intergroup social capital, this chapter outlines an overall theoretical framework of housing mix in three steps. It commences with the establishment of the neighborhood housing mix framework based on the existing literature and the responses to research gaps. Accordingly, three solutions are proposed to bridge the research gaps. Then, a conceptual model of the underlying mechanism is proposed to illustrate the progressive formation process of intergroup social capital. Lastly, the overall theoretical framework is formulated by combining the conceptual model of intergroup social capital within the broader neighborhood housing mix framework, together with the proposition of a series of research questions and hypotheses.
