A Review on Transmission Pricing Calculation Methods, Proposed Methodology, and Its Future Predictions
摘要
In the present, era transmission system is treated as separate and independent entity other than generation and distribution. The transmission system should be must reliable and economical like the other two entities for better customer satisfaction. The important function of transmission system is to assess and analyze the transmission prices and keep it lower with fast and accurate prediction. Transmission pricing model must ensure the recovery of transmission expenses which must be reasonable for the customers. The transmission system is highly linear and the price can be calculated by the help of non-linear optimization solution methods. The transmission path can be identified through sensitivity analysis from the optimal power flow (OPF) solution. The congestion problem may be dealt with and managed using either technological or commercial approaches. The business viewpoint and potential commercial solution for congestion control provided by locational marginal pricing (LMP) computation. It is possible to lower generating costs and, by extension, network investment costs by using the long run incremental cost (LRIC) pricing mechanism to encourage proper generation behavior. The power factor of the load can be increased together with the MW flow by improved MW-mile method. Users under the dynamic electricity pricing model might choose to spread out their energy usage over a period of months when the danger of the system becoming overloaded is minimal. Transmission pricing is calculated in this study utilizing several approaches, such as marginal cost, embedded cost, incremental cost, and others.
