Design and Fabrication of Multipurpose Trolley: A Review

A trolley, essentially a platform mounted on wheels, serves the crucial purpose of transporting items efficiently from one location to another. Within the market, a plethora of trolley variations exists, each tailored to specific needs. Despite their diversity, a common drawback of conventional trolleys is their reliance on manual human labour for propulsion, particularly challenging when handling smaller or heavier loads across extended distances. To address these limitations, the automatic trolley emerged, offering a user-friendly alternative with reduced physical exertion required for operation. While selecting a trolley typically hinges on its intended use, the evolution of the multipurpose trolley marked a significant advancement, breaking free from the constraints of single-purpose models. Moreover, traditional trolleys faced limitations navigating stairs or uneven landscapes, leading to the development of the specialized stair-climbing trolley, adept at conquering various terrains effortlessly. In response to escalating environmental concerns, the innovation of electric trolleys gained traction as a sustainable solution against rising fuel costs and air pollution, offering a greener transport alternative. These advancements showcase the evolution of trolleys, adapting to diverse demands with enhanced efficiency and environmental consciousness.
