Design and Fabrication of a Three Wheel Electric Scooter

In the present scenario the infrastructure of industry premises, society premises and college premises have spread over a large area of land that to travel from one segment to another a very good distance has to be covered by walk. This problem can be sorted out with the help of a simple and economical three wheel scooter. Two wheel drives carries a major issue of balancing which can be sorted with the help of three wheel drive. So being motivated by the above concern our group found out a solution and worked on the design and fabrication of a three wheel electric scooter. In this work, a design of chassis has been developed on the solid works and analysed for the stress analysis then the work of fabrication has been done in the central workshop of mechanical engineering department of our institute. This scooter can give up a speed of 40 km/h with a load bearing ability of 100 kg. The scooter was tested also within a range of 20 km and it gives good results and it can replace the costly designed other electric vehicles.
