This book chapter investigates the various barriers that rural women face in their active involvement in agriculture and family-level decision-making. The challenges are organized into four broad categories: economic, socio-cultural, institutional, and other challenges related to participating in decision-making. To provide a comprehensive understanding of women’s involvement in agriculture, this chapter examines the obstacles they encounter in decision-making processes.
