This chapter elucidates various theoretical frameworks regarding women’s participation in decision-making within family-level agriculture in Bangladesh. It addresses the significant gap in empirical research on the involvement of rural women in the country’s agricultural sector. The chapter is developed through an extensive review of existing literature relevant to the research problem. Through this comprehensive literature review, the study identifies a noticeable gap in the current understanding of this issue. Furthermore, the review critically assesses both the methodological and conceptual limitations underlying existing research efforts in this domain.
