A Critical Review on IoT-Based Smart Parking Management System for Central Business Development Areas (CBD)
摘要
The constant issue of limited space in urban areas and major cities is magnifying by aimlessly parked cars on the streets, further restricting available parking space. To address parking challenges in busy locations, various global vehicle parking systems, Volkswagen Car Parking, Multi-level Automated Parking, and Intelligent Auto Parking System represent some of the employed systems. The objective of this initiative to support Internet of Things (IoT) in constructing a scaled-down version of a car parking system capable of accommodating four vehicles in a designated parking area. The number of vehicles on the roads has increased and led to traffic problems, beyond the capabilities of existing parking services and transportation infrastructure. The smart parking system has been developed, featuring real-time sensors and devices fixed in parking spaces that communicate occupancy data to round these challenges. Drivers can use an LCD display and IoT technology application to search for available parking spaces, enabling them to locate a spot more efficiently, reduce energy consumption, and moderate air pollution.
