The decision to buy an electric car has always been heavily influenced by capital expenditure; 63% of consumers think that buying an electric vehicle is out of their price range. However, the emphasis is now on the difficulty of expanding the required infrastructure and raw material supply to allow the widespread adoption of EVs as battery prices decline and cost parity between EVs and ICE vehicles is reached by 2026. The following issues need to be solved in the EV market: market penetration, customer awareness, charging infrastructure, safety and energy security, and battery recycling and monitoring. Demand for EVs. Smart charging stations can improve the sustainability, economy, and efficiency of charging. However, there are interoperability issues and the cost of installing public charging stations can be high. An essential part of an EV is the battery, which stores energy and supplies power for cruising and acceleration. The traction motor needs power supply, which raises the battery’s temperature. To regulate the temperature and ensure safety, an effective battery thermal management system is necessary.
