Since the establishment of New China, the country’s research vessels have gone from nonexistence to being at the forefront of the world, from being small to becoming large, and from being backward to making great strides. This achievement is attributed to the leadership of the Party and the advantages of mobilizing resources under the socialist system with Chinese characteristics. It is the result of self-reliance, hard work, and perseverance, as well as the efforts of the research vessel design teams. Below is the introduction to two of these teams, aiming to showcase their contributions to the development of Chinese research vessels.
