In this chapter, I offer a critique of the laws of armed conflict from a queer perspective. I initially talk about the patriarchal normalization of gender binary and introduce the queer theory. I unearth the fundamental heterosexual-normalcy and binary assumptions, and explain how they are problematic so far as the protection of bodies with different gender identities or sexual orientations during an armed conflict is concerned. Subsequently, I seek to explain how they experience war in a different way, and in spite of this, the law is blind towards these bodies and their concerns. I also try to highlight the blind, deaf and discriminatory nature of the legal provisions from a queer perspective.
