µ Coins: A Decentralized Cryptocurrency-Based Rewards System for Promoting Academic Achievement Among Students
摘要
Educational Institutions are always finding new ways to keep students motivated and engaged in academic and extracurricular activities. μ Coins introduces a dynamic rewards-based system to tackle the problem of low engagement of students in academic and other activities. μ Coins is a decentralized cryptocurrency system built using the MERN stack that rewards student crypto coins for completing tasks set by faculty members and the payout of these rewards is based on the student’s attendance in lectures, these coins can then be used to redeem any college-approved rewards. Methodologies include surveys and consultations with university management to identify deserving tasks and reward expectations. This project is inspired by the impact of incentives on subjects and is built on blockchain to promote transparency and security. Outcomes include designing and implementing the reward system using the Truffle suite to improve student engagement and attendance in all university activities.
