Pricing for Crowdsourcing Delivery Two-Sided Platform and Social Welfare
摘要
Crowdsourcing logistics platforms have grown rapidly in recent years. In order to address the challenge of insufficient supply during peak demand periods, we construct the dynamic pricing model to adjust supply-demand balance based on optimal control theory. We consider partial multi-homing riders based on Hotelling model. Furthermore, we establish social welfare model and study riders’ welfare and social welfare. The optimal two-sided platform dynamic pricing strategy and social welfare are solved out in this study. Our result reveals that two-sided platform dynamic pricing strategy effectively adjust supply-demand balance during peak demand periods. Social welfare increases with the rise of platform commission rates.
