Environmental xenobiotics, or different chemical contaminants, have gotten worse due to an increase in anthropogenic activities. Comprehending the interaction between genes and proteins in plant defense has important consequences for agriculture and environmental management as well as providing insight into the basic biological mechanisms supporting plant resilience. Researchers can improve crop yields, boost plant tolerance, and advance sustainable agricultural practices by developing strategies to clarify the pathways and processes that plants use to detect and detoxify xenobiotics. This chapter seeks to explain the complex metabolic reactions and molecular mechanism that plants use to protect themselves against dangerous xenobiotics, illuminating advanced strategies that ensure their survival and resilience.
