Construction Achievements and Innovative Application Exploration of the CSTR Identification Platform

With the rapid development of technology, the management and utilization of science and technology resources have become key to enhancing national innovation capacity and driving industrial upgrades. The Common Science and Technology Resource Identification Platform (CSTR identification platform), based on China’s national standard GB/T 32843-2016 “Science and Technology Resource Identification”, was established by the Computer Network Information Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences. This platform provides unique identification service for 11 resources types, including academic papers, dissertations, scientific data, and preprints, etc. It promotes the establishment of a globally interconnected system for science and technology resources across disciplines, regions, and platforms, enabling the tracking of global impacts and facilitating rapid access to resources. This article analyzes international policies on science and technology resources identification, summarizes the platform’s construction achievements, and explores its innovative applications across multiple disciplines. These efforts aim to enhance the management, sharing efficiency, and utilization benefits of science and technology resources. Looking forward, the platform will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation and intelligent development, providing robust support for technological innovation and socio-economic progress.
