This research aims to examine construct validity and construct reliability student adjustment of Particular Sport Class in Sleman District. The research method in this research is an analytical survey research with a quantitative research as approaching. Analytical survey approach in this research is a cross-sectional survey design, which is a research design that collects data at one time on a sample. Respondents in this research are students of Particular Sport Class at State Junior High Schools (SMP) there are 227 respondents. The results show that the seven aspects of self-adjustment are consisted of controlling emotions, reducing frustrations, rational thinking, learning ability, past experiences, being realistic and objective, and self-defense mechanisms are valid and significant for measuring the latent variables of self-adjustment. The results of the validity are also supported by the value of Chi Square (r) which produces a value 1623.00; p-value 0.00 (p > 0.05); RMSEA 0.074. Based on the selected item and the formula to obtain the magnitude of Construct Reliability, the result obtained CR = 0.96 (>0.7), which means that the self-adjustment variable has good reliability. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known there are 9 numbers of the 14 fit indices state that the model is fit, so that the next analysis can be continued. These results indicate that the empirical model of the adjustment variable is in accordance (fit) with the theoretical model. The method of data analysis in this research is The Structural Equation Model (SEM) method with using technique The Linear Structural Model (LISREL).

摘要
