Sports provide a social environment, where it is culturally possible to acquire positive values and behaviours. This study aims to explore the character of junior tennis players in Yogyakarta focusing on five aspects: 1) Spiritual; 2) Respect; 3) Responsibility; 4) Honest; and 5) Fair. Descriptive statistical data analysis technique using the Sturges Formula by calculating the Frequency Distribution. The sample of this research is 32 junior tennis players taken through Simple Random Sampling. Data collection techniques through questionnaires with a scale of 1–5. The instrument has been tested for validity and reliability. Conclusion: 1) The students’ character in the spiritual aspect is in the very high category. This explains that when students compete, their spiritual character is more prominent than when practicing; 2) the respect aspect is in a very high category which means that students have the character of always obeying the rules when competing; 3) the aspect of responsibility is included in the high category which means that students have the character of responsibility by checking the readiness of the completeness before competing; 4) The aspect of honesty is in the very high category. This implies that students have an honest character and can be trusted when in the field; and 5) The character of students in the fair aspect has a very high category which means that athletes have a fair character by being fair to other players. In addition, junior tennis players also have the character of not taking personal advantage of friends’ difficulties or problems when practicing or competing.
