Motor development could be observed in children under five and the motor development was very important because it was the foundation of human movement skills to do various kinds of tasks. The study used content analysis of several articles in Science and Technology Index’s (SINTA’s) database published in 2013 to 2022 and focused on gross motor development. It found out that in the last four years the number of the publication focusing on critical thinking skills increased. The most dominant design was research and development. The biggest number of subjects included elementary school students. The most common instrument in the studies was test and data were analyzed using t-test. Considering the findings of the study, several recommendations have been made for future studies focusing especially on goss motor development. The following are some of the recommendations: increasing the diversity of the studies and using more appropriate data analysis along with study instrument validity and reliability tests.
