This chapter unveils the transformative potential of higher education in Hong Kong, highlighting the vibrant interplay of creativity, music, and the arts as catalysts for social change. We explore how higher education can adapt to societal shifts, emphasizing the urgent need for curriculum reforms that address contemporary challenges. Drawing inspiration from Paulo Freire’s critique of “banking education,” we advocate a curriculum that integrates theory and practice, fostering an environment where creativity flourishes instead of stagnating in passive knowledge acquisition. Celebrating the power of interdisciplinary collaboration, we identify it as essential for crafting enriching arts education experiences. Through examples from our diverse courses—ranging from preservice teacher training for preschool educators to general education for non-music undergraduates and specialized music programs—we illuminate the connections between creativity, music, and the arts, revealing how these pathways inspire innovation and engagement. Additionally, we examine the impact of artificial intelligence on creativity education, highlighting new avenues for personalized learning and collaborative engagement. Ultimately, this chapter calls for a renewed commitment to creativity and innovation within Hong Kong’s higher education landscape, envisioning a future where students emerge as dynamic citizens ready to contribute meaningfully to an interconnected world.
