Multifunctional Thermal Spray Coatings for High-Temperature Applications

The thermal spray coating methodology, aspect of technology advancement is fast moving, and it is characterized by an influx of new methodologies, materials, and applications periodically. Many outstanding trends are notable in coatings sector, but one of the most significant developments is the one that basing on structures of coatings that are able to provide more than one functionality as well as think for themselves. A feature that signifies these coatings is their ability to endure warm-cool cycling and mechanical burdens. Therefore, they increase the Cartesian product and reliability of elevated high-temperature parts such as those used in the construction of gas turbine engines. More specifically, applying nanotechnology and advanced materials has been one of the key considerations during the creation of the numerous, comprehensively functional coatings. This has led to generation of new application of modifying the outer surface of products and enhancing its performance. While having this conversation, the progress of thermal spray coatings will also be discussed, and the uses of these coatings too will also be discussed.
