Pancreatic and Biliary Neoplasms
摘要
All solid tumors are rare in childhood. Pancreatic neoplasms particularly are uncommon in children. Their prevalence has been estimated to be around 1–2 cases per ten million children in the United States [1]. The increasing use of abdominal imaging helps us to diagnose these tumors with confidence. This helps in saving time and resources and the patient is also not subjected to unnecessary procedures. Structured reporting of pancreatic imaging provides superior evaluation of pancreatic masses and facilitates surgical planning. It allows surgeons to take decisions about tumor resectability more confidently.
