An Effective Optimal Path Finding and Trust-Based Routing Protocol in VANETs
摘要
Recently, several technologies have been introduced in the wireless communication sector, and they have evolved to communicate among vehicles in a vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) platform. Providing effective routing and intelligent choice of paths between the vehicles during data transfer is the fundamental concept of this network. However, achieving intelligent routing among huge numbers of vehicles with random topology while maximizing data transmission efficiency is critical in VANETs. In this paper, an Efficient and Optimum Trust-based Path Identification (EOTPI) routing protocol vehicular network is created for this reason. This protocol includes trust computation, packet forward counting, and optimum route choice. The network's performance is improved using these techniques, prolonging the vehicle's lifespan. Several factors are implemented in the simulation program known as NS3 to assess the effectiveness of the EOTPI quality, including data loss rate, average delay, and network throughput and routing overhead. When comparing the EOTPI performance with the findings of past studies, it is evident that the EOTPI routing scheme generates better data success rates and achieves efficient routing.
