Multiband Microstrip Patch Antenna for Vehicle-To-Vehicle Communications
摘要
This study introduces a multiband microstrip patch antenna designed for Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communications. Constructed on an FR-4 substrate with strategically positioned slots, the antenna resonates at key frequencies (915 MHz, 1.9 GHz, 2.45 GHz, and 3.8 GHz), crucial for diverse V2V scenarios. Effective impedance matching, bidirectional radiation patterns with a peak value of 4.1 dBi at 1.9 GHz, and optimized surface current distribution enhance the antennas’ adaptability to varying vehicle orientations. High radiation efficiency values exceeding 70% in each of its bands of operation highlight its effectiveness in converting electrical power into radiated signals. The proposed antenna emerges as a versatile and reliable solution for V2V communications, contributing significantly to antenna technology in vehicular communication applications.
