The research work is proposed to improve the performance of IEEE 802.11ah network using mean value analysis (MVA) approach with transmission opportunity (TXOP). The TXOP is one of the MAC parameter used to vary in proportion to data rates. The restricted access window (RAW) mechanism of 802.11ah uses distributed coordination function (DCF) at MAC layer with MVA approach and non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) in physical layer are employed. With an analytical model using MVA approach, we compute the throughput with the variation of TXOP parameter. The results of the IEEE 802.11ah based NOMA-IoT network shows good improvement than conventional and RAW-NOMA approaches.
